Tote Ambassador Danny Mullins landed a Grade One hat-trick at the Dublin Racing Festival AND he did the same on Day One this year!

The best place to back Danny is at the Tote! In the past 12 months Tote+ beat the SP on all Danny Mullins rides at Leopardstown. Add Danny's rides to your Placepot perm here

Without further ado, over to Danny...

Day Two

12:40 - Irish Stallion Farms EBF Paddy Mullins Mares Handicap Hurdle (Listed Race)

Looking at Sunday I’ve a nice book of rides, starting with MINX TIARA in the Mares’ Handicap Hurdle.

Some of her form hasn’t been fantastic but I thought her latest on the second day of the Christmas Festival at Leopardstown was good, she wasn’t beaten that far and lines up here off the same handicap mark here.

She handles slow ground, and I think in what is an open Mares’ handicap hurdle she can be a contender in the race.

13:40 - Tattersalls Ireland 50th Derby Sale Novice Hurdle (Grade 1)

My second ride is for Gigginstown and Willie Mullins aboard GOLD DANCER.

Having his first run in Ireland, he won in France and he’s a nice horse at home but he’s been pitched in here at the deep end.

Fingers crossed he can give a good account of himself but this is fairly deep water to be stepping into for his first day.

14:10 - Dublin Chase (Grade 1)

I get the leg up on GENTLEMAN DE MEE, whom I won this race with last year. I think he has have a big chance in it again this year.

El Fabiolo is going to be all the rage and Dinoblue beat Gentleman De Mee at Christmas but hopefully Gentleman has improved since that run and can be involved in the finish.

Jumping is always going to be to the fore in a two-mile chase around Leopardstown and the fact the Gentleman De Mee has form around Leopardstown definitely boosts his chance.

14:45 - Chanelle Pharma Irish Champion Hurdle (Grade 1)

I ride ECHOES IN RAIN in the Irish Champion Hurdle. She was placed at Christmas behind State Man and Impaire Et Passe and I suppose we have to think for a bit of luck we can reverse that form.

She Jumps very well, they’ll be a lot of speed and a lot of accurate Jumping needed down the back.

If anything goes wrong with the big pair, she’ll be right there to pounce.

15:20 - O'Driscolls Irish Whiskey Leopardstown Handicap Chase (Grade 3)

My final ride of the Dublin Racing Festival is CLASSIC GETAWAY in the two-mile five furlong handicap chase.

He stopped quickly in Tramore the last day on heavy ground but I think on a little bit nicer ground around Leopardstown with bigger fences, which should test the jumping of the others, should hopefully play to his strengths.

I think the line of fences down the back in Leopardstown could really bring out the best in Classic Getaway.

If he can reproduce his Thurles performance on the nicer ground, in what is a really competitive handicap, I think this lad has a really good chance.
