Danny makes the trip over to Sandown for the British Jumps Finale day card and has two rides.

He gives us his thoughts on their chances, a view on the U.K Trainer’s Championship and reveals if he thinks Willie Mullins could start bringing more runners to the U.K shore next season.

15:35 Sandown, Bet365 Gold Cup Handicap Chase

I’ve got MINELLA COCOONER, who was third in the Irish Grand National.

He’s had four weeks to recover from that and with a bit of luck I think he’ll run a big race in the Bet365 Gold Cup.

17:20 Sandown, bet365 Handicap Hurdle

I also ride GOLD DANCER on the card.

He had a nice introduction behind Ballyburn at the Dublin Racing Festival and probably disappointed me a little bit in Fairyhouse.

I think the better ground will definitely bring out a bit more in him.

On the U.K Trainers Championship

Looking at the top three here, I think with a bit of luck Willie Mullins can win it, second and third probably Paul Nicholls ahead of Harry Skelton.

Second and third don’t really get remembered, Willie was second in it once - I can’t even remember what year it was… so it’s all about winning!

Fingers crossed team Mullins can get the job done.

On Willie Mullins runners in the U.K. in 2024-25 season

There’s a big possibility!

He’s won some races and some big prize money with horses that were probably going to be difficult to place in Ireland.

The pressure being on to get as much money as possible for the Trainer’s Championship has opened up a few new doors, so I think for Willie and the owners I think they’ll be keen to have a good at some of those things again next year.
