Sometimes it pays to be predictable – especially when selecting horses to follow! My list is probably a bit top heavy in the novice chasing division but those are the races I most enjoy, and every winner scores points. BOB OLINGER looked a ‘monster’ winning the Ballymore and he could be awesome in novice chases.

So too could FERNY HOLLOW, the only horse to have beaten ‘Bob’ - he hasn’t run since doing so last November.  BRAVEMANSGAME, third to BOB OLINGER at Cheltenham, made the perfect start to his chasing career at Newton Abbot. He looks a similar type to CLAN DES OBEAUX who was brilliant at Aintree and Punchestown and should make a bold bid to regain his ‘King George’ crown at Kempton.

CRAIGNEICHE ran a cracker when runner-up in the Coral Cup, he’ll now be campaigned over fences. APPRECIATE IT could be a star over fences after a superb season over hurdles – he looked ultra special in the Supreme.

It will be thrilling to see HONEYSUCKLE and Rachael Blackmore renew their hitherto unbeaten partnership. She proved too good for EPATANTE who still looks the clear pick of the British hurdlers. I think it would be foolhardy not to pick SHISHKIN who should extend his undefeated 5 from 5 over fences. JONBON, Douvan’s full-brother, could be an exciting novice hurdler. He has plenty to live up to.
