Instantly recognisable when the runners round the far turn, Chantilly is undoubtedly one of the most picturesque courses in Europe. The splendid architecture of the Domaine de Chantilly, provides the backdrop as the pace quickens on the track, while the unspoilt forests of Chantilly offer further treats for nature lovers.
On the course, Chantilly is the home to the Prix du Jockey Club and Prix de Diane, the French Derby and Oaks. The former is often a precursor to a crack at the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp later in the season, with nine horses completing the double.Ch
Whilst the aforementioned Longchamp was closed for development, Chantilly, itself, hosted the Arc in 2016 and 2017, with the mares Found and Enable landing the Group 1.
