Racecards
Mandoob
Racecard

Mandoob looked very useful when scoring on debut at Lingfield and we’re backing him to go two from two here. He had a couple of useful Godolphin types in behind that day, including John Gosden’s Marshall Plan who scored nicely on his previous start. Brian Meehan’s charge is open to further progress on turf here and it’s been profitable to follow the trainer at Haydock. His all-time level stakes profit betting at SP is £20.76 at the track and this one could bolster that tally. He’ll have to give weight away here however and Mellow Magic, who has been knocking on the door, could be the Tote Exacta play.

White Jasmine
Racecard

George Boughey has been having some season with his juveniles and this one looks to have a fantastic chance of adding to his tally. She bumped into Hello You on debut, who is now near enough favourite for the Albany following that very impressive performance, but this one was by no means disgraced in second. She showed signs of inexperience that day, so with the run under her belt she’s open to further progression here. Bred to be useful, she’s a full sister to Khaadem and Log Out Island, so you would expect a race of this quality should be well within her gift. Unless one of the debutantes is a bit special, she should win this.

King Of York
Racecard

Kevin Ryan has a good record with his 2yos first time up and this 350,000 guineas purchase could get him back in the winners’ enclosure once more. He’s bred to be precocious, being by Kingman and out of a mare whose previous two offspring were winners on debut, and of those who have seen the racecourse before, he doesn’t have too much to fear. Albahr made a pleasing debut for Charlie Appleby in a hot maiden at York and looks like the main danger.

Wait Forever
Racecard

This is a trappy little race where the value play could be Wait Forever. He got caught on his heels a little bit at Windsor last time but ran on well to the line. He was only half a length behind the reopposing Highwaygrey at Doncaster back in April and reopposes on 2lb better terms here and will probably pay twice as much should he win. Placed off 98 at Newmarket last season, he must be coming down to a winning mark no. Blinkers are applied for the first time here and that could just help him travel with a little more verve here.
