Voted the best small course in Scotland and Northern England on multiple occasions in recent times, Kelso is a popular trip for racing fans. The current track has been in operation since 1822, and was originally a flat racing venue before national hunt took over.
These days the features take place over hurdles with the Morebattle Hurdle and Premier Kelso Hurdle the two biggest contests on the calendar. The former has been landed by the likes of Grade 1 winners Peddlers Cross and Simonsig in recent years.
