Covering over 90 hectares, Maisons-Laffitte is the biggest racecourse in the Paris region. It regularly hosts Group 2 and Group 3 action. The racecourse plays host to three major events - the spring festival, the picnic meeting and Racing’s open day during the Autumn.
The Group 2 Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte is staged every October and regularly attracts a quality field. In 2018, Group 1 star Hello Youmzain stormed to victory in this before going onto great things.
There are around 50 thoroughbred trainers in the Maisons-Laffitte area and it is another important centre for racing in the Paris region. Races can be run both left and right-handed there, which is an enormous and rare benefit.
