Racecards
Dama Bianca
Racecard

First-time blinkers (retained here) and a switch to more positive tactics worked nicely for Dama Bianca at Brighton (7f, good) last month as the Adaay filly produced the best of her five runs to date, finishing just over a length down in third spot at the line. That was both her second start back from a break and the second turf run of her career. From an unchanged mark, and with her rider claiming 5lb in this apprentice contest, the filly has definite scope for better under similar tactics.

Rose Hip
Racecard

The mare Rose Hip has a pleasing 6-16 strike-rate in her career thus far and she comes into this race on the back of a win at Windsor (5f, good) last month, a success that ensures she now boasts a 6-8 record in the hands of Tom Marquand. That represented a career-best effort for Tony Carroll's Acclamation mare and a 4lb rise in the ratings could be negotiable today in what appears not the strongest of sprints.

Mums Tipple
Racecard

Richard Hannon will be delighted to have witnessed Mums Tipple getting back on track this spring. Her four-race 2020 campaign saw her coming up short, albeit in strong company, but she bagged a Listed Wolverhampton win in March and was a good second at Lingfield on Good Friday behind runaway winner Khuzaam. She took second-best behind Pogo in a Leicester Listed contest (7f, good to firm) in late April when last spotted. Although giving away a penalty now, she's the one to beat as market rival Khaadem has misfired in both starts this year and really needs this faster surface to aid him.

Sunset Bay
Racecard

Sunset Bay began this season with a fine front-running second in a Thirsk maiden (7f, good to firm) for Ed Walker at the start of May and her run at York (1m, soft) since on handicap bow is readily overlooked as she didn't quite last home on the rain-softened Knavesmire turf. A drop back in distance, combined with this faster surface, promises to see her in a better light. Champion jockey Oisin Murphy takes over now and may further bolster his 33 per-cent strike-rate for this trainer so far in 2021.

About Salisbury Racecourse

Fifteen race meetings are held at Salisbury Racecourse throughout the year. The track itself is situated just three miles south of the city and is known for its stunning views at every spot of the course. The viewing areas overlook the stunning Salisbury and South Wiltshire Golf Courses as well at Salisbury Cathedral.

Unlike the majority of racecourses, Salisbury is not a loop. In fact it is one very long straight with an additional two-furlonged oval that rejoins the racecourse proper to allow races over one mile to take place. There are two Group 3 races that take place at Salisbury, the Sovereign Stakes in August and the Dick Poole Fillies’ Stakes in September.
